Over many years of division, North and South Korea have become like a hall of mirrors where it is difficult to tell the real from the false. Inspired by real people who have traveled between North and South amid this division, this film depicts a relationship between the two that is so deeply skewed that it is impossible to tell what anyone is working to achieve. The film is screened in one of two rooms designed to resemble the film set, while the other room is made to resemble the North Korean security agency’s “interrogation room” set from the film. Appearing in the cast are actors Lee Min-ji, Oh Tae-kyung, Park Ji-hwan, and Eom Hyo-seob. This 2018 work was commissioned from PARKing CHANce by the Asia Culture Center (ACC). PARKing CHANce is a team of directors formed by Park Chan-wook and Park Chan-Kyong.
