This feature-length documentary was made at the city of Seoul’s request. It was assembled from submitted videos filmed by citizens visiting or living in the city. A total of 11,852 domestic and overseas clips (around 160 hours) were submitted through YouTube and elsewhere between August 20 and November 25, 2013, with 154 making the final selection. The finished video was edited together through post-production work involving the introduction of informational clips and music, along with computer graphics and color correction. The Seoul seen in the documentary is a vast mosaic viewed through multiple sets of eyes: a cutting-edge city, a city of history, and a city of labor and politics. PARKing CHANce is a team of directors formed by Park Chan-wook and Park Chan-Kyong.
