A Few Facts related to 8 photographs

1. Camp Edwards is one of the military camps in South Korea. there have been 37,000 U.S. Soldiers stationed in South Korea since the Korean War og 1950.
 

2. Mayumi was the code name for the North Korean secret agent, who was convicted for smuggling a bomb aboard KAL(Korean Air Lines) flight 858 in 1987. There has been growing suspiction about the missing airplane until today. Mayumi is now working for the Natonal Information Bureau in South Korea.
 

3. The fictional film Mayumi "based on a true story" was directed by Sin Sang-Ok in 1990, who was once a famous film director in North Korea and exiled to the U.S. The film's special effects of the explosion sequence of KAL 858 were made in Holltwood. 
 

4. The photographs of Camp Edwards were taken from a train passing by the camp, since it is prohibited for civilians to take pictures of any military camps. These kinds of "documentary" pictures from the military facilities could possiblly be favored by North Korean spies.
 

5. The portraits of the two North Korean leaders were modified in the original film because it was not allowed to show the  images of them to the South Korean public at that time. It  means that they look slightly different from the actual images.
 

6. After September 11, North Korea was named by U.S. President George Bush, as an "axis of evils" country.
